Predictions for 2025: Navigating the Digital and Rural Landscapes

I hope this finds you well-rested and ready to tackle a new year! I enjoy the festive season immensely although I'm glad to be back in a routine.  As the holiday cheer fades and the reality of a new year sets in, I can't help but wonder what surprises 2025 has in store. Despite the unexpected twists and turns life often throws our way, I'm optimistic about the year ahead.  So much so, I'm going to make some predictions...

The Shift Towards Empowering Support

In the realm of professional services, we're witnessing a trend towards more empowering and less hands-on support. As businesses seek to reduce costs and streamline operations, off-the-shelf solutions and flexible consulting services are gaining traction. Our Growth Hour initiative, for example, offers affordable access to expert advice and 'light touch' input empowering businesses to take control of their marketing.

The Rise of Immersive Audio

The audiosphere is poised to take centre stage in 2025. From soothing soundscapes and audio trails to captivating podcasts and informative aural histories, audio content is becoming an increasingly popular choice for businesses and individuals alike. Organisations are recognising the power of audio to create immersive and cost-effective experiences for their clients and service users.

The OnFARM (Food, Agriculture & Rural Matters) podcast continues to shine a spotlight on rural enterprises and champions the producers, grafters and innovators who put food on our tables and keep our countryside green and beautiful for all.  If you would like to sponsor an episode or commission your own series, please do get in touch.

The Ever-Evolving Social Media Landscape

Predicting the future of social media is a challenging task. While platforms may rise and fall, the core principles of engagement and authenticity remain constant. Whether you're on Twitter/X, Instagram, Bluesky or a new platform altogether, focus on building genuine connections with your audience and continuously adapt your strategy to stay ahead of the curve.  If we can help with any aspect of social media management, let us know.

My Hope for 2025: A More Respectful Future

An evergreen wish: A greater appreciation and respect for the work of those producing our food and looking after our countryside – and a better understanding of the farm-to-fork journey and rural life.  Oh, and respectful differences of opinions please!
