Design: The Silent Ambassador of Your Brand

We've blogged previously about boosting your creativity by 'increasing your dots'. One of the Scene & Herd team was doing just that when they visited Clerkenwell Design Week last week.


If art is a conversation, then design is the medium through which that conversation is held - the silent ambassador of your brand, communicating your ideas, values and beliefs.

Good design is functional, aesthetically pleasing, and meaningful. It is designed to solve problems and make our lives better. It is also designed to make us think and feel. Design is art's shyer, less chatty cousin.

It's a complex and multifaceted field, but one that is essential to our lives. It is the way that we create the world around us, and it has the power to make a real difference, for example:

Both trade shows and public events are used to launch new products and, as marketing specialists, we're always looking at imaginative ways to get the press and public talking about a particular brand.

From industry collabs such as “Leather from British Pastures”, an exhibition presented by Grady + Robinson, producers of a new supply of leather made from cattle raised on regenerative farms; to experiential marketing techniques such as serving ice cream in the shades of a new range of grout, we love thinking about new and exciting ways to make our rural clients be seen and heard!

London Design Festival takes place 16 – 24 September 2023.

Unfortunately, The Lighthouse, Scotland's Centre for Design and Architecture remains closed although previous exhibitions can be seen on their website.
